Special trustee advisors identify as “champions” or “sponsors” of the trust, directly invest resources, monetary and non-monetary, or aid external investment to ensure the growth and development of the trust.

Special trustee advisors are key representatives of the organisation in their personal and professional circles and have special dispensation at the organization's events and activities.

Joy Buchanan, Cost control Manager

Joy is a highly organized, energetic, and driven project management professional with extensive experience in the engineering and construction industry. She holds a master's in chemical engineering and a qualification in risk management. Her work experience in various departments in six different countries including Africa, the USA, and the UK, displays her versatility.

She has developed effective problem-solving skills and excellent planning, time management, and communication skills. She is bestowed with strong relationship-building and leadership acumen. Joy holds an Honors Masters degree from Imperial College, London.

Joy is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and empowering others to reach their full potential.

By trade she is a construction manager. A cost manager for Meta(Facebook), her work takes her all over the globe. Though there is not an abundance of women in her industry, her work ethic and skill prove time and time again that women are just as capable in the sector as any man. Joy is currently supporting SISCODE GHANA in the leadership and fundraising side of the organisation, offering valuable counsel as well as fundraising opportunities, which are aiding the organisation achieve its goals.

Deborah Mensah, M.Sc., Program Director

Deborah Mensah has over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring multi-stakeholder, health programs. She is passionate about working with Ministries of Health to develop health policy and implement programs to address local health issues.

Deborah comes to ALM with nearly 20 years of global health experience, including 10 years in the neglected tropical disease (NTD) sector. Deborah has worked closely with national governments in Liberia, Ghana, Kenya, and Côte d’Ivoire to develop health strategies, policies, and programs at national levels. Deborah holds an Honors Bachelor of Science (Integrative Biology and Health Studies) from the University of Toronto, and both a Master of Science (Public Health) and a Diploma in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Deborah loves to laugh and make others laugh. She is a major foodie who is always on the lookout for a new restaurant or cuisine to try!

She is currently the Program Director of American Leprosy Missions. She manages their projects in Africa, including the AIM Initiative program based in Accra, Ghana.

Deborah is currently supporting SISCODE GHANA in the leadership and fundraising side of the organisation, offering valuable counsel as well as fundraising opportunities, which are aiding the organisation to achieve its goals.

Samuel Brobbey (Program Manager, Microsoft)

Samuel Brobbey is a Program Manager at Microsoft, USA. He has experience in IT consulting, project management, and business development. Samuel earned his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Ghana Technology University College and an MBA from Michigan State University. Prior to Microsoft, Samuel worked with MTN Ghana, Techno Brain Ltd, and Globadigm Consulting.

Samuel is very passionate about giving back to society as he is the co-founder of a non-profit (Futuretech Foundation) that provides free digital skill training to kids in rural Ghana, in a bid to reduce the digital divide in Africa. Not only but also, he is a project manager for Ghana Medical Relief- a United States based organization that provides free health care to communities in Ghana, every summer.

Edward Arthur (PharmD, MBA) Senior Manager, Clinical Science at Pfizer

Dr. Edmund Arthur has worked in the pharmaceutical drug development industry for 7 years. He is a Senior Manager of Clinical Drug Development at Pfizer Inc, a leading pharmaceutical company based in the United States. Dr. Arthur has recently been a part of the clinical development team that runs the clinical trials which led to the US FDA-Emergency use authorization of Pfizer’s Covid-19 oral treatment medication.


As part of this dedication to STEM, Dr. Arthur has worked hard to support SisCode GH’s platform and mission from the very beginning. He resides in the New York Metropolitan Area with his wife Catherine and their son.


Gloria Yamson (Head of Bancassurnace, Kenya & East Africa - Standard Chartered Bank)



Working with 11 insurance companies in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, Gloria designs wealth protection products and wealth transfer solutions for the bank's clients. Her team's products are the first of their kind, unique in class and several were developed for access via a mobile application.

Gloria is certified by the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, and holds a BSc Degree in Financial Markets and Management from the London School of Business, and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry with Management from Imperial College, London. She has over twelve years of experience in banking, eight of which have been spent in Wealth Management.

Gloria is passionate about building sustainable wealth for individuals and communities. She regularly mentors young women in navigating a career as a family woman. Besides her work
